Birthday Weekend | The Statler Dallas
This Monday morning writing sesh sure does have me missing the weekend and my time spent at The Statler Hotel in Dallas. My birthday was on Saturday and I am officially 23. Although 23 isn’t THAT exciting of an age, like at all, I still figured it’d be best to celebrate in style! A few of my best gal pals and I arrived around 3 p.m. to check in, poured some bubbly, and began getting ready for a night on the town.
The hotel was so cute! I decided to take my blogger hat off for the night and focus on just enjoying girl time and living life in the moment for once instead of snapping and taking pictures at every Insta-worthy wall I saw! (It was tempting though!) The bathroom in our room was serious goals! Not only did we have enough counter/mirror space for all of us girls to get ready (which is always unheard of!), there was a waterfall shower, and the most adorable bathtub that looked like it was straight out of a 50’s film.
We decided to have dinner at Wild Salsa. It is right across the street from the hotel which made it super convenient since we could just walk right over instead of dealing with Ubers and all that Dallas traffic at 6 p.m. aka hell. We did research the week before and found great reviews, plus the cutest wall that was located outside of the restaurant, so that may or may not have convinced me to go there 😉
It was so nice having a night out with these girls! It’s so special because we’ve been friends since middle school/high school so I love the fact that after all these years we can still get together, catch up, and pick up right where we left off time and time again. After dinner we went back to the hotel to explore some more and check out everything else it had to offer. Remember how I said the hotel was totally Insta worthy? I couldn’t pass up a picture with this car they have set up out front. Isn’t it the cutest?!
The hotel houses a few different restaurants and bars within. We decided to hit up the rooftop bar and pool on the top floor to see the amazing views of the city! It was awesome to just relax up there and take in the Dallas scenery. I could seriously stay up there for hours, it was such a cool environment.
We went out to Bottled Blonde later that night, which was right down the road. Our location was perfect for everything we wanted to do that night. The next morning we went and had brunch at Overeasy, which is located in the hotel on the first floor. It has been on my brunch bucket list for a while now because of the cute pictures I always see taken there. I was excited to finally try it out. Going to brunch is one of my all time favorite things to do. Mimosas anyone?!
After brunch we checked out and were left with only the memz! I seriously recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or glamorous girls trip. I definitely will be coming back in the future and can’t wait until we meet again!
